Hello Operation Flourish Fam!
October is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time dedicated to starting conversations, reducing stigma, and reminding each other that mental health is just as important as physical health. This observance began as part of a national effort to increase education and advocacy around mental illness, helping communities better understand and support those who may be struggling.
This month matters because so many people silently face anxiety, depression, burnout, and other challenges. It’s an opportunity to check in with ourselves and others and to remind everyone that reaching out for help is a sign of strength.
Here are 3 ways you can get involved this month:
Check in on a friend: A simple text or call can make a world of difference.
Share your story: Talking about your own journey helps others feel less alone.
Prioritize self-care: Take time to rest, move your body joyfully, and practice mindfulness daily.
Operation Flourish promotes mindful mental health as one of the 5 pillars of #ChooseHealth. Caring for your mind allows you to truly flourish, connect authentically, and live with purpose.
Cheerfully yours,
Kayla Myers
