💜 Standing Strong Together: Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Hello Operation Flourish Fam!
October is also Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This national observance began in 1987 as part of the movement to end violence against women, men, and families. It’s a time to remember survivors, honor those lost, and support efforts to create safe, healthy relationships.
This month is so important because domestic violence often hides in silence. By learning, listening, and speaking up, we can help break the cycle of abuse and bring healing to our communities.
Here are 3 ways you can get involved:
Wear purple, the official color of Domestic Violence Awareness Month to show support.
Volunteer or donate to a local shelter or advocacy organization.
Educate yourself and others on healthy relationship boundaries and warning signs.
Operation Flourish understands that positive relationships are an essential part of flourishing. When we nurture love, respect, and kindness in our connections, we build safer spaces for everyone to grow.
Cheerfully yours,
Kayla Myers
